I knew Ron since the 1st grade at Enterprise. (Of course he was Ronnie then just like I was Jimmy.) I have many good memories of him through the years. I remember seeing him carry around his practice drum (actually some type of wood contraption) and practicing in the fifth grade. When we got to be the big kids at Enterprise, I remember spending a Saturday at is house doing our "perspective" drawings for our art class. He and I and a couple other guys were the short ones in those days. We continued to cross paths through the years but I hadn't seen him for several years even though Nick came by our store and gave me his contact information. I regret not calling and going by to see him. He was a great guy and a great friend.
