Obituary for Violet Esther Ingersoll Grattan

Grattan, Violet Esther Ingersoll, homemaker, was born June 9, 1911 near Chapman, KS, the daughter of Arnold and Emma (Aebi) Buhrer. She passed away Thursday, July 20, 2011 at the age of 100. Viewing: 2-8pm, Sunday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Service: 10am, Monday, July 25, 2011, First Presbyterian Church 324 N. Baltimore, Derby, KS. She married Carl Ingersoll on August 8, 1934. He died in 1962. She married Owen Grattan on July 5, 1965. He died in 1985. She is also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jeanne Ingersoll McDonough; brothers Dean and Dewey Buhrer. Survivors: daughter, Sharon Ingersoll Ingrim (Charles) of Derby; son-in-law, Ronald McDonough of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, David Ingrim (Debby) of Wichita, Dan Ingrim (Linda) of Derby, Ronald McDonough Jr, (Karen) of Louisville, KY, Kelly McDonough Smith (Matt) of Louisville, KY; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Ronelda Ruhnke of Richmond, TX, Arbutus Simpson of Rose Hill; brother, Junior Buhrer (Eva) of Kansas City, MO; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
