Obituary for James A. "Jim" Webb

HAYSVILLE – Webb, James A. “Jim”, age 84, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011. Visitation 1-8pm Friday, September 23, with family present 6-8pm; funeral service 11am Saturday, September 24, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Jim was a WWII Navy Veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Boeing after 39 years of service as a modification mechanic. Jim also worked for the City of Haysville as a reserve police officer and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Helen Webb; siblings, Bob Porter and Catherine Pruss. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Webb; daughters, Kaye (Phillip) Preston, Carolyn (Mike) Shields, Janet (Terry) Stephenson, Peggy (Richard) Lynch and Linda Kemp; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy (Bill) Starck and Tom Goodeyon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, 3816 Payshere Cir. Chicago, IL 60674.
