Obituary for Jay A. Williams

Mulvane - Williams, Jay Alan, age 63, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. Jay was born April 27, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas. His parents were Leonard David Williams and Margorie Williams (Housworth). He and Robin (Leggett) were married in Golden, Colorado on December 19, 1975. They have two children, Jayson and Heather.  Jay worked for Boeing/Spirit for 39 years before retiring in 2017. Jay’s love of sports led him to officiate and coach for soccer, baseball, basketball and softball through the Mulvane Optimist Club and he was a Boy Scout Leader. For many years Jay entertained as a Clown for youth and local events. Jay enjoyed hunting and fishing and he looked forward to annual family trips to Table Rock Lake. He loved his grandkids and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margorie “Ma” Williams; brother, Brad Williams and his aunt, Shirley "Aunt Cruddy" Raymer. Jay is survived by his wife, Robin Williams; father, Dave "Pa" Williams; son, Jayson Williams (Lacey); daughter, Heather Williams-Smith (Stuart); grandchildren, Jolie Williams, Taylee Williams, Rayne, Ryder, Reed, Swaynee and Ruger Smith; brother, David Williams (Connie); brother, Davey Williams (Valerie); sister, Darla Brewer; sister-in-law, Pam Williams. 
Visitation: Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with family present from 6-8 pm, at Smith Mortuary, Mulvane 501 SE Louis Blvd Mulvane, Kansas 67110.  Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, September 22, 2017 at Smith Mortuary, Mulvane Chapel.
