Into your hands, O Lord, I commend the soul of your servant Doug Shaper departed from this life and beseech you to grant him rest in the place of your rest, where all the blessed repose, and where the light of your countenance shines forever. Open our eyes to see more clearly, and draw us closer to you that we may know that we are nearer to our loved ones, who are with you. You have told us that you are preparing a place for Doug; prepare us also for that happy place, that where you are we may also be always, O dear Lord of life and death. Amen.
