Zola Rae Scarbrough

Scarbrough, Zola Rae, age 92, went into the presence of the Lord Thursday, March 24, 2011. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday with family present 6-8 p.m.; funeral service 2 p.m., Monday, both at Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Zola was born to Charles and Mae Cranmer on December 30, 1918 in Wakita, OK. She worked for NCR in Wichita and retired after 23 years of service. Zola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Boyce Scarbrough; siblings, Melvin, Paul, Vernon, and Eunice Cranmer. She is survived by her sons, Charles (Betty) of Wichita, John (Florene) of Haysville and Marvin (Betsy) of Wichita; grandchildren, Charles Jr. (Gina), Paul (Kathy), Brenda Mattix, Marcus (Kimberly) and Eric (Teresa); 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; siblings, David, Verl, Roy (Nadine), Catherine (Clark) Palmer and Anna Cheever; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, 439 N. McLean Ste. 100, Wichita KS 67203.
