Willis John Sorensen

Sorensen, Willis John (Bill), 83, loving husband and devoted father, passed away March 16, 2016. Bill was born May 31, 1932 in Glenwood City, WI to George and Julia Sorensen. He was raised on a dairy farm until he entered the Navy from 1949-1953, during the Korean War. He married Jo Clark on May 14, 1954. They would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this year. Bill worked for the government for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Robert, Lawrence, sisters; Margaret, Alina, Lois and Maxine. He is survived by his wife, Jo of Mulvane, sons; Mark (Lark), Brad (Mindy), Grant (Lori Ann), Jerrod (Annie), all of Mulvane, sister, Anna, grandchildren, Kristin (Jeremy), JD, Dustin, Abby (Marcus), Logan (Lindsi), Henry, Shelby, Jake (Riley), Kate (Jackson), Step grandchildren; Keene (Christin), Kassie (Brett), Kelsey (TJ), Caryn (Seth), 6 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. Cremation will precede the services. A celebration of life will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Haysville, KS.
