William “Bill” Gerald Nemnich, born July 24, 1935, passed away at home on December 16, 2014. He was a United States Army veteran serving his country from 1958-1964. He retired from Eby Construction in 1998 after 32 years. Bill was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and rarely missed a game and never passed up an opportunity to play a good ole game of dominoes. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Elnora; daughters, Janet Kay Ground, Peggy Kathleen Farris (Ronnie), Susan Smith (Terry), and Ann Riggs; grandchildren, Daniel Ground, Samuel Farris, Elijah Farris, Jacob Farris, Brandon Smith, Tom Riggs (Chawalee), Amy Haines (Derek); eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Davis (Bill), David Nemnich (Nita) and Steve Nemnich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Beulah Nemnich. Viewing: 4-8pm Friday, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS. Funeral service: 10am, Saturday, December 20, 2014, St. Cecilia Catholic Parish, 1900 W. Grand, Haysville, KS. A memorial is established with the Parkinson’s Foundation.
