William Steven Mcdonald

December 28, 1947 — January 15, 2024

William Steven McDonald was born December 28, 1947, and passed from this life on January 15, 2024.


Steve is an Army Veteran and an active member of the VFW and American Legion Riders. He is a co-founder of the Patriot Guard.


He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Loved being on the boat, having dinners with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, traveling and working with his cars.


Steve was preceded in death by his parents Vince and Thelma Massions and his brother Douglas.

Steve is survived by his wife of 51 years Trela (States); his son Doug (Cally) McDonald of Knoxville, TN, daughter Carrie (Birch) Clark of Derby; grandchildren Mariah,Makenna and Cole McDonald, Axle Ottaway, Remie Jo,and Ainslie Mae Clark. Sisters, Karen Mendez,Patte Kline,Sandie Yarbrough and brother Denny Massions.


Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday, January 18, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Recitation of the Rosary will be 10am Friday, January 19, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Derby. Military honors will be held at El Paso Cemetery.


Memorials have been established with St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund, with Derby VFW Post 7253, and with American Legion Post 408.
