Survivors: children, Heidi McCanlies, Jessica Dwyer (Lance), Simon Lies (Synia), John Lies (Hayley) and Adrianne Hayes: his children's mother, Carla Pfannenstiel, 13 grandchildren; siblings, Frank Lies (Carol), Mary Avila (Steve) and Jerome Lies.
