William E. Day

Day, William “Bill” E., 80, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014. He was born June 7, 1933 to Clifford and Elnora (McGregor) Day in Allen, KS. Bill worked as an over the road truck driver and enjoyed making friends along his routes, especially in southern Texas where he ended up residing part-time as a snowbird. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Melba Day; sons, Terry Day and Scott Day; and 1 brother. Bill is survived by his wife, Ella Day; children, Lollie (Dale) Boyer and Skip (Tracy) Day; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister. Memorial service: 11 am, Monday, May 5, 2014 at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central Ave., Mulvane, KS 67110.
