Atherton, William James "Jim", Jr., 74, passed away Thursday, June 1st, 2023. He was born September 26th, 1948 to William and Maxine Atherton, in Wichita.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chris and Paul and step-son, Zac Blurton. Survivors include his wife, Candie; children; Deanna Froehlich, David (Michelle) Atherton, Jamie (Mark) Guzman; siblings, Gary (Diane) Atherton, Lynda (Rex) Matlack; grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Jason, Caitlin, Tyler, Emmi, Alex, Alexus, Shelby, Nolan, Ember, Zoie, Ethan and seven, great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm both at Smith Mortuary and funeral Service is 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S Broadway, Haysville, KS 67060.
Memorial contributions may be made to Great Plains Nature Center, 6232 East 29th St N UNIT 2200, Wichita, KS 67220.
