William "Bill" Alley

William “Bill” Alley, 95, died the morning of Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his residence in Derby, KS. Bill was born December 28, 1927 in Rose Hill, KS, and received his education from Friends University, and finished Seminary Training at The Moody Bible Institute, then served as a pastor for over 50 years. He was a licensed pilot; enjoyed building model airplanes, drawing, and Bible Prophecy.

He is survived by his daughters Gayle (Doc) Cox, Sheila (Trent) Davis, Liane (Dwayne) Boggs, and son John (Jessica) Alley; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings Elaine Kohner, Marion Alley, Sondra Drake, and Don Alley. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ramona, his oldest son Greg, grandson Christopher; siblings Wilma Austin, Shirley Walters, Mark Alley, and Gary Alley.

Visitation 6-8pm Thursday, Oct. 12, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Funeral service 10am Friday, Oct. 13, at South Rock Christian Church, followed by interment in the Friends Cemetery, Rose Hill. A memorial is established with Mission Dignity, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 2200, Dallas, TX 75244.
