Willetta Clara Langley

Willetta “Billie” Clara (Bayer) Langley, born October 12, 1924, in Lorraine, KS, and passed away November 25, 2016. Billie, as she was known to her friends, was the daughter of Olinda and William Bayer, the sister of Marie Valodine and Norman Bayer. She married Bill Langley on November 18, 1945 after a whirlwind two-week courtship, and they had a wonderful 65 years together. They have two sons, Vaughn (wife Jan, daughter Randi, son Austin, and step-daughters Meghan and Chelsea) of Wichita, and Brent (wife Barbara Scott) of Edwardsville, Illinois. They also have 3 great-grandchildren, Emmett, Harper, and Hadley. Visitation: Monday, November 28, 2016 from 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral: 1 pm, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 214 S. Derby, Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
