Wilbur John Deschner

MULVANE – Deschner, Wilbur John, age 86, retired Boeing Company employee, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018. Visitation 1–8 pm Wednesday, November 28, with family receiving friends 5–7 pm, funeral service 2 pm Thursday, November 29, both at Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane. Wilbur is preceded in death by his wife, Edith; son, John; parents, Lester and Vivian; stepmother, Florence; brother, Howard; and his sister, Barbara Splettia. Survivors include his son, Leslie (Cindy), of Mulvane; daughter, Kathy Bauer (Rick), St. Cloud, FL; brother, Robert (Edwina), of Cheyenne, WY; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
