Wayne Curtis Boggs

Wayne Curtis Boggs, retired from Vulcan Chemicals, passed away November 22, 2014. He was born February 14, 1923 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Roy C. and Artie B. Boggs and grew up in southeast Kansas. Wayne spent three years in the U.S. Army during WWII. On January 15, 1946, he married Mildred Wright in Chanute, Kansas. Survivors: wife, Mildred; sons, Jerry (Donna) of Haysville, Michael (Cathy) of Clearwater, Steve (Marsha) of Los Alamos, NM; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Defenbaugh. Funeral service: 2pm Wednesday, November 26, 2014, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Viewing will be held from 1-2pm prior to the service. Memorials are established with Good Shepherd Hospice, Wichita, and the First Baptist Church, Haysville.
