Wanita E. Carrothers 86, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010. She was retired from Boeing where she worked as a plastic shop lead. Preceding her in death is her husband, Gene; sisters, Una Ballard and Hope Allen. Survivors: sons, Al Carrothers of Monroe, LA, Lance Carrothers of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Ann (Lane) Moreland of Belle Plaine; brother, Sid (Alta) Harmon of Shawnee, OK; sisters, Vera Abney of Federal Way, WA., Shirley (Donnie) Parkins of Mulvane; grandchildren, Stephanie (Shane) Scott, Travis Carrothers, Troy (Alice) Carrothers, Tayler Carrothers, Courtney (Brad) Franklin, Tyler (Ashley) Moreland; great grandchildren, Storm, Skyli, Caroline, Sophie and Oliver. Viewing: 3-8pm, Sunday, Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home, 219 W. 2nd., Belle Plaine. Services: 2pm, Monday, January 3, 2011, First Baptist Church, 612 N. Linden, Belle Plaine.
