Wanda Jean Turner, 88 of Wichita, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday September 28, 2021 at The Mapleton Assisted Living Center in Andover, KS.
Born in Alva, OK Jean later became a lifelong resident of Wichita, KS. A longstanding member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, following West Side Church of Christ. Jean was also co-founder of Tax Wise Income Tax Accounting Services. Jean considered her employees and clients family.
Wanda Jean was an avid gardener, and adored playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born the daughter of Ray “Wilbur” and “Arvilla” Darling, “Jeannie” was married to the late Romauldo H. Turner who passed away February 1, 2017.
Wanda “Jean” is also preceded in death by her son, Bryan Lee Turner; sister, Dorothy Crays; and by her brother, Bill Darling.
Survivors include: Daughter, Michelle. Surviving Grandchildren; Mercedes Hayes, (Husband Anton Hayes), of Andover, KS, Jonathan Brown of Manhattan New York, Ashley and Austin Turner of Wichita, KS. Surviving Great Grandchildren; Hunter Hayes, Lorelei Hayes, Braelynn Hayes, Hudson Hayes, Bellamy Rose Hayes, and Harker Brown. Surviving sister; Mary Rhodes.
Visitation is scheduled for Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S Seneca, Wichita, KS on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 1-8 PM. Family will attend from 6-8PM.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday October 12th 2021 at 10:00 AM at East Point Church of Christ, 747 N 127th Street East, Wichita, KS. Graveside Services to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens at 1806 N Oliver Avenue, Wichita, KS 67208
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
