Wichita - Hamm, Walter Arthur "Walt", 87, passed away Thursday, March 2nd, 2023. He was born February 25th, 1936 to Theodore and Florence (Rodman) Hamm in Highlanding, Minnesota.
Walt was a retired heavy equipment operator, working for Dondlinger Construction for 47.5 years and proud Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Theodore, Irvin , Orlando, Eunice, Florence.
Walter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean M. Hamm; Children: Bob Hamm, John Hamm, Tim (Angela) Hamm, Debbie (Mark) Tombaugh; Grandchildren: Elizabeth (Gary) Jacobs, Kelsie Whitcomb, Jeremie Whitcomb, Zachary Hamm, Zoie Hamm; Great-grandchild: Emily Jacobs; Siblings: Donna Becker, Forrest Hamm, Roger (Carol) Hamm, Gerald Hamm, Daryl (Kari) Hamm; numerous other relatives & friends. Visitation: Monday, March 6th, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary . Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at Smith Mortuary - Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice, in lieu of Flowers.
