Virginia I. Waugh

Overland Park, KS – Waugh, Virginia I. (Phillips), age 87, loving mother and grandmother, died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Funeral service 11am Tuesday at Hatfield- Smith Funeral Home, 219 W. 2nd, Belle Plaine, KS 67013. Virginia was born on January 9, 1924 and was raised in Wichita, KS. Virginia and Dwight Waugh were united in marriage on January 31, 1942. Together they celebrated nearly 62 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Gertrude Phillips, husband Dwight Waugh, brother Don Phillips and sister Gwen Chapman. Survivors include her sister Eva Jean Montfort, children Mike (Patty) Waugh and Vicki (David) Welch, and five granddaughters Seren, Casey, Emily, Erika, and Megan.
