Virginia R. Moody

Virginia “Ginny” Moody, 70, loving wife, mother, grandparent, and sister, passed away on Monday, October 5th, 2020 at 3:00pm. Ginny, daughter of Mary Morales, was born on March 29, 1950 in Chanute, KS. She was a registered nurse and served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy. Ginny was dedicated to supporting her husband, working side by side on many projects. Raising her children was her passion as she was always there to support them in their personal and professional pursuits. Ginny’s grandson brought delight to her heart and he will always remember her smiling face, Scrabble games, and delicious breakfasts. Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, father, and one brother. She is survived by her husband Tom, her two children, Lisa (Julio) and Bryan (Loretta), her grandson Santos, her brothers Tito and Chris, and sisters Martha, Mary, and Abby. Visitation and viewing to be held on October 10th between 4pm and 7pm at Smith Family Mortuary, Derby, KS.
