Virgil R. Reed

Reed, Virgil R., 91, retired Boeing employee and former Wal-Mart greeter, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. Visitation 1-8 p.m. (family present 5-7) Monday, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock Rd., Wichita. Preceded in death by his wife Marie and three brothers. Survived by children Virgil Eugene Reed, Francis Edward (Joy) Reed, Virginia Elaine Hawk, Eric Rolan (Bonnie) Reed; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and brother Don Reed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock Rd., Wichita, KS 67207.
