Victor D. Hillgren

DERBY- Hillgren, Victor D., 78, Retired Air Force Major and Retired Boeing Electronic Engineer, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Visitation 1-8 pm Friday, with family present 5-7; funeral service 2 pm Saturday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Victor was a member of Military Officers Association of America. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Frieda Hillgren, step-fathers Philip Heun and Willard Hand, brothers Vernon Hillgren and Philip Heun. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Marjorie; daughters Elizabeth Hillgren, Valerie (Reini Boehler) Hillgren, Kathleen (Donald Bennett) Hillgren; grandchildren Hudson Smith, Moriah Smith, Rosa Boehler, Lilly Boehler, Karl Boehler, Marika Boehler, Alex Boehler, Jennifer Bennett, Katherine Bennett; brothers Vaughn (Shirley) Hillgren, Douglas (June) Heun, and John (Della) Heun. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with JROTC, 920 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037, and Electrical Engineering Dept. at University of Wyoming.
