Verta "La Rae" Santiago

Wichita - Verta La Rae Santiago, Born October 2, 1952 died April 8, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital after an extended illness.

Survivors: Daughter, April Santiago; sister, Robin Kincannon; niece, Shawna Schmidt; great nephew, Ean Thomas; great-nieces, Emily Schmidt and Olivia Mihailoff.

La Rae's passion was to be the voice for those with disabilities. She retired from WATC as disability services specialist and was active with Special Olympics for years. She was a cosmetologist for over 30 years, and loved art and painting.

Memorial Service: 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at Smith Mortuary - Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, Kansas 67060.
