Vernon Andrew Shields

Shields, Rev. Dr. Vernon Andrew, age 90, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Memorial service 1pm Saturday, March 5 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Vernon was a retired minister of thirty-one years at the First Divine Science Church of Minneapolis, MN. He was Past Master Mason of the Lake Harriet Lodge Minneapolis, MN, a loving husband and father. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shields; sisters, Dorothy Wert and Della Koch. Survivors include: sister, Dora Cartwright; children, Jon (LuAnn) Shields, Lawrence (Ann) Bonjour, Therese (Thomas) Theyson; grandchildren, Sara Shields, Krista Shields, Elizabeth (Andrew) McNulty, John Theyson, Katherine (Alex) Theyson-Waldrup, Peter (Suzanne) Theyson, Timothy Theyson; seven great-grandchildren.
