Vernon Ray Batemon

Vernon Ray Batemon, 66, died September 28, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 E. Harry, Wichita. Graveside will be 3:00 pm Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Grenola, KS. He was retired from Davis Moore auto detail department and was currently a school bus driver for USD 265, Goddard. Survivors: Wife, Maureen Batemon; sons, Butch Hanson and Clinton Batemon; brothers, Roy and Roger Batemon; sister, Joyce Mortimer; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Angeline (Hinkle) Batemon and brother, Bobby Batemon. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 E.
