84, passed away Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022. She was born July 31st, 1937 to Ansel Wohlford and Lillie (Reno) Wohlford in Cheney, KS. Velma was an excellent seamstress & gifted quilter-member of 3 quilt guilds and several sewing clubs, member of Federated Women, she was on Mulvane Old Settlers committee. She & Don were named King & Queen of Mulvane Old Settlers Days, 2019. Velma was a generous person, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother & great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Donald Gene Anderson, Wade Martin Anderson, & Audrey Lynn Angleton, brothers, Bob, Paul & Chuck Wohlford. Velma is survived by her Husband of 64 years, Don Anderson of Mulvane, Son, Bart (Kathy) Anderson of Mulvane, Daughter Terri (Charley) Hamlett of Derby, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers Melvin (Thelma) Wohlford of Haysville, Phil (Judy) Wohlford of Cheney, KS, Sisters, Helen Keeling of Kingman, KS & Laveta Schneider of Florida. Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Friday, May 6th, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church of Derby 324 N. Baltimore Derby, Kansas 67037. Graveside Service, 10:00 am Saturday 7th, 2022 at Mulvane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Derby ( Memorial Scholarship Fund).
