Van Joseph Leonard Jackson

Jackson, Van J.L., 89, passed away on July 2, 2026. He was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on June 29, 1937, to Arthur and Nora Jackson. 

Following his dedicated service in the Air Force, he journeyed across the country as an over-the-road truck driver. Beyond the highway, Van loved fishing, watching classic Westerns, and enjoyed casino visits. Family remained his greatest joy. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon K. Jackson; siblings, A. Gaylan Jackson and A. Geneva Bond; and parents. 

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. Van is survived by his devoted children, Troy Jackson, Matthew Jackson, and Star Jackson. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Kayla Conners, Taylor Sakata, Lindsey Jackson, and Tristan Jackson, as well as his precious great-grandchild, Leland Sakata. He is also survived by his dear sister, Lula Mae Robbins.
