Vada Mcferrin

Vada McFerrin, age 94, passed away October 4, 2016. Visitation 1-8pm family present 5:30-7pm at Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road in Derby. Funeral will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave, Springdale, AR 72762. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth May; husband, James Leonard McFerrin; brothers, Charles Jr. and Roy May; granddaughter, Kathy Lydon; Vada is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Engle of Wichita ; Judy Alexander of Russellville, AR; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren. Our special thanks and love to Cecelia Julius, her friend and caregiver. Vada lived many years in Springdale, having spent her last years in Derby. Her final resting place will be in Springdale with her mother and husband. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St. Wichita, KS 67202 or the charity of the donor's choice.
