Thressa L. (Pouncey) Griffin

Thressa Leanne Griffin, 57, passed away Saturday, September 25th, 2021 in an automobile accident in Wichita, Kansas. She was born October 15th, 1963 to Herbert and Emajoe “Jody” (Duncan) Pouncey in Meade, Kansas.

She worked hard and played hard and what she lacked in physical stature, she more than made up for with her larger than life personality.

Thressa loved to cook, she loved to talk, and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was one of the most genuine and wholehearted people to walk this earth. Her smile was constant and contagious. She loved to love.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Herbert & Emajoe Pouncey, and her brother Timothy Pouncey.

Thressa is survived by her two daughters Ashley Boucher and Amanda Griffin & Fiancé Ryan Jerden and grandchildren Kylee (17), Andrew (15), & Kyra (12) who made up the entirety of her world. In addition to her sister Melinda Pouncey and brother James Michael Pouncey and his wife Sandra Pouncey along with her best friend of 50 years Tina Cannon.

She will be greatly missed by so many. Even though there is a Grand Canyon sized hole in our lives, we now have the best guardian angel watching over us forever.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday (October 2nd, 2021) at Smith Family Mortuary Chapel, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas.
