Thomas J. Coufal, 62, passed away June 06, 2025. He was born September 05, 1962 to Gerald and Mary Coufal in Omaha, NE.
Beloved Father and Husband, Devoted Worker, Lifelong Nebraska Fan.
Born and raised in Nebraska, Tom carried his Midwestern values of hard work, humility, and loyalty with him throughout his life. For the past 28 years, he called Kansas home, building a life rooted in love, perseverance, and community.
For over 27 years, Tom worked at Boeing / Spirit AeroSystems, where he was known not only for his skill and dedication but for his integrity and work ethic. He approached every task—no matter how big or small—with care and commitment, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues.
Tom was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need—whether it was family, a friend, or even a stranger. His selflessness and generous spirit were constants in the lives of those lucky enough to know him. If you needed a hand, Tom was already on his way.
Tom’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by those he cared about, whether it was during a quiet evening at home or a big family gathering. He was always looking for ways to bring everyone together and create lasting memories. One of his favorite ways to do that was through family vacations—he would start planning the next trip before the current one had even ended, excited for the next chance to spend time with the people he loved most. His deep devotion to his family was evident in everything he did.
Beyond his career and his kindness, Tom had an immeasurable love for his four-legged companions. He was a devoted dog father, always ready with a treat, a walk, or a warm lap. His dogs were part of the family, and they returned his love unconditionally.
Tom was known for the unwavering pride he had in his Nebraska roots. Saturdays in the Fall were sacred—no matter where he was, you could be sure the game was on, and he was cheering on the Huskers with everything he had.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched and the values he instilled in those who knew him.
