Theresa Mary (Schneider) Gier, 88, of 2322 S. Washington Wichita, KS., formerly of Ridgway, PA., died August 28th 2016. Theresa was born?November 24, 1927, in Saint Marys, PA. Daughter of the late George and Margaret (Geyer) Schneider. On April 15, 1950, Theresa married and is survived by her husband of 66 yrs. John C. Gier. She is survived; by 6 children, Betty Schwahn of Udall KS., John M. Gier of St Marys, PA, Judy (John) Longhi of Kersy, PA., Carol (Skip) Eckert of Emporium, PA., Janet (Roger) Campbell of San Antonio, TX., Jeff (Kim) Gier of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. She is survived; by 2 brothers, Norman "Boo" (Anna) Schneider and Donald (Joann) Schneider of St Marys, PA and 1 sister, Hilda Kronenwetter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Robert, George, James and Lawrence Schneider, and 4 sisters, Alice Schneider, Frances Burfield, Margaret Eckert and Edna Wagner. Theresa retired from Clarion Sintered Metals in Ridgway, PA and never knew a stranger, if she didn't know you; she most certainly would within 15 min of meeting you for the 1st time. She loved to visit and tell stories of her family.
