Haysville - Thelma M. (Wiesner) Cummings 91, passed away June 20, 2021. She was born in Richmond, Kansas on May 12, 1930, to Emma and Alfred Wiesner. Thelma was happily married to Robert A. Cummings for 68 years. She worked at Cawthorn Insurance and Cessna Aircraft. Much of her time was spent watching ball games that her 5 sons and 1 daughter participated in. She played softball and was an avid bowler. Thelma loved watching KU basketball, WSU and the Royals on TV. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Thelma was preceded in death. By her spouse, Robert Cummings, Son, Doug Cummings, parents, Alfred and Emma Wiesner and siblings, Alfred Wiesner and Sister Emerentia.
She is survived by siblings Marion Regier, Velma O’Brien (twin sister), Florence Lyon (Eldon), John Wiesner (Mitzi), Rose Haynes (Fred), Frances DeJarnett (Elroy).
Children: Michael Cummings (Judy), Gary Cummings (Susan), Marilyn Flowers (Bret), Terry Cummings, Jeff Cummings (Patricia). Also survived by her daughter-in-law Claire Cummings.
Grandchildren: Jennifer Pierpoint, Julie DeWitt (Zach), Jamie Geier (David), Christina Murphy (Robert), Amanda Hagan (John), Brian Flowers, Shane Flowers, Jacob Flowers, Josh Flowers, Scott Cummings (Gennie), Kelly Gilpatrick (Ryan), Kenny Cummings, Shawna Cummings, Anna Schroeder, Ashley Cummings, Daniella Cisneros (Angel), Bethany Cisneros, Devlyn Cummings, Kendra Cummings, Leanna Bussman (Ryan), Angela Cummings and Nick Cummings. Numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 pm Sunday June 27, 2021, at Smith Family Mortuary 7031 S Broadway Haysville, KS 67060
Rosary will be held at 9:30 am with the funeral mass being held at 10:00 am Monday, June 28, 2021, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church 1830 W Grand Ave. Haysville KS 67060
