33, died tragically in a motorcycle accident Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Wichita. He was born to Steven Hommertzheim and Brenda Huber in Wichita, Kansas on April 15, 1988.


Tyler graduated from Branson High School. He began his lifelong career in the restaurant industry, starting at Dairy Queen when he was just 14 years old. He was an avid motorcyclist and always felt the most at peace on the open road. In the fall, you could always find him watching OU football and yelling “Boomer Sooner” after every touchdown. He enjoyed cooking for his loved ones and gathering with friends and family. He adored his niece and nephews. Tyler was active with the Wichita Fellowship Club and continuing to work towards a life of sobriety. We will remember Tyler for his gentle, kind demeanor and outgoing personality.


He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Hurst Jr., Jeffrey Maupin, Dale Hommertzheim and Ted Williamson.


Tyler is survived by the love of his life, Christy Parker and her son, Isaac; parents, Brenda and Perry Huber, Steven P. Hommertzheim; sisters, Nicole (Jared) Huff and Kayla (Chad) Watson; niece, Nora; nephews, Colton and Graham; grandmothers, Violet Williamson and Roberta Maupin; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.


Visitation: Monday, January 24, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life: 2:00 pm, Monday, January 24, 2022, both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213.
