Steve A. Mallernee, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on August 17, 1949 in Springfield, MO to Lyle and Lola Mallernee.

Steve and his family moved from Missouri to Wichita, KS in 1955 and in the mid-1960s moved to Eureka, KS. It's there where Steve and Jannel met in high school. They were married in 1968.

Whether Steve was doing something for work, neighbors or friends, he always enjoyed helping people come up with creative ways to make things easier to use, whether it was items for daily or occasional use.

After Steve and Jannel retired, they took up RV traveling for 16 years, with 10 1/2 being full-time. They both truly loved this lifestyle.

Steve is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jannel; their daughter Amy (Curtis); grandsons, Tyler (Caris), Matthew and Cody; brother, Wayne.
