Stephenie Vega

Vega, Stephenie Colette, 72, passed away on February 4, 2026. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Donald and Colette Phillips on April 18, 1953.Stephenie was a loving and generous person. She was cherished by her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as landscaping and working on home projects with her devoted husband Steve. She was a selfless person and was always willing to help others any way that she could.She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Diego Vega; brother-in-law, John Vega; and parents-in-law, Ralphael and Claudia Vega.Stephenie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Steve Vega; sons, Christopher (Angelina) Vega and Shawn (Suheil) Vega; grandchildren, Maria Vega, Miguel Vega, Gabriela Vega, Joaquin Vega, Kevin Ruiz, Kidanny Ruiz, Kaitleen Paredes, Jason Vega; great-grandchildren, Gavin Vega, Adeline Mai, Zeke Ruiz; siblings, Susan Phillips and Timothy Phillips; sisters-in-law, Lola (Charles) Caire, Carmen (Charlie) Davila; and numerous nieces, nephew, extended family, and friends.A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 13, 2026, at Smith Family Mortuary – Derby, with visitation one hour prior.
