Stanley F. McDiffett, 82, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He was a Flight Chief with the United States Air Force serving in Korea and Thailand before retiring after 27 years of service. He had also worked as an Aircraft Mechanic at Cessna for 8 years and as a Postal Carrier in Wichita for 6 years. Stanley is survived by his wife, Nellie Rose McDiffett; children, Bill McDiffett, Frank S. McDiffett, Pamela Jane Kerschen (Mark); siblings, Peggy Koepp, Keith McDiffett (Joyce), Ted McDiffett (Edith); 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sons, David Bruce McDiffett and Michael Stanley McDiffett, grandson Michael Steven McDiffett; siblings, Gerald Max McDiffett, Marian Marvene Carlton, Verlee Verlene Buchman, Kent McDiffett. Viewing: 2-8pm Sunday with services at 2pm Monday, September 17, 2012, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock Rd., Derby. Memorials to Robert J. Dole Medical Center or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
