Shirlijeanne Turner

Shirli (Jeanne) Turner, 65, died August 16th, 2023 at St. Francis Harry Hynes. She was born September 3rd, 1957 in Anchorage, Alaska.

A long time resident of the Wichita area, Derby, and Udall, and she was a retired. On October 12, 1996 she married the love of her life, Thomas Turner. They made a beautiful life together and raised a wonderful family. Despite her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, she managed to travel, attend many family gatherings, and enjoy the country life.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Turner, daughter, Shelley Wiesendanger, Sons Brian (Lisa) Turner, and Scott Turner, and her three grandchildren Caitlin, Brianna, and Dagan Turner, and her two dogs, Bear and Megan. She is also survived by her brothers Terry Lester, Mark (Anne) Lester, Craig (Lisa) Lester, and sister Dawn (Bill) Hacket. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents John Lester, Mary Lester-Grayson, Mary-Alice Eggemeyer, Wayne Lester. Many family members and friends also preceded her in death.

There will be a visitation on August 23rd, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. at The Smith Family Mortuary located 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS, 67037.
