Shirley Anne Payne

Shirley Anne Payne was born on May 29, 1941, to Harry Ray Keener and Mary Anne Johnson. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 6, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Payne; her first husband, Henry Osterhout; and her sister, Mary Lou May.

She is survived by her niece, Wendy Madison; her nephew, Jeff (Michelle) May; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.

Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her. Her gentle presence and the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Kansas.
