Shirley Ann Mcadam

October 24, 1936 — October 10, 2024

Shirley Ann McAdam passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, at home in Peck, KS.

Shirley Ann Calvin was born October 24, 1936 to JF & Alma (Lewis) Calvin in Wilmot, KS. Shirley graduated Mulvane High School in 1954. She married Charles Copeland after high school and welcomed daughter LeAnn in January 1958 and son Kenneth in December 1959. Charles passed away in 1962. On April 12, 1963 she married her high school sweetheart, Everett McAdam. They were married for 48 years, as they raised cattle and farmed. They took their kids and grandkids on many vacations to Table Rock Lake after the wheat harvest. Shirley loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed becoming Gigi, when her great grandchildren were born. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, her house was filled with so much food, family and chaos. Everyone was welcome, and she told all of her grandkids’ friends, “Just call me Grandma.” She truly loved people, and wanted everyone to be part of a family like ours.

She is preceded in death by husband Everett, sister Phyllis, and her parents. She is survived by daughter LeAnn (Stan) Pierce of Mulvane, son Kenny (Donna) Copeland of Peck, grandchildren Jenna (Josh) Nearhood, Nicole (Nate) Yarnell, Jesse (Jenn) Pierce, Ethan Copeland, Eric Copeland, Evan Copeland, and Samantha Copeland, great grandchildren Ava Yarnell Harper Yarnell, Ellison Yarnell, Kollins Pierce, Carson Pierce, Ezrah Nearhood, and baby Jett Pierce.
