Shirley L. Lake

Shirley Loretta Lake was born October 13, 1945 in Belle Plaine, Kansas to Manfred and Ella Pierce Lake. She attended Belle Plaine schools and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Shirley worked at Boeing for 20 years as a dispatcher and tool follow-up. Hobbies included gardening, reading and Christian music. On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, Shirley died at her home in Belle Plaine at the age of 67 years. She is survived by her brother, Delmer and his wife Brenda of Belle Plaine; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; 9 great-nieces; 12 great nephews; 1 great-great nephew. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Manfred and Ella; brothers Leon and John; sister Norma Leah. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from noon-3pm at the American Legion Building in Belle Plaine, Kansas with a potluck luncheon.
