Shirley Lee Aurell, age 83, homemaker, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Visitation 1-8 pm Wednesday, October 25, with family receiving friends 6-8 pm, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 2 pm Thursday, October 26, South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Rd, Derby. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Kathleen Hapgood; husband, Harold Aurell; son Steve Aurell; grandson, Scott Taylor, Jr; and her sister, Toni. Survivors include her son, Jim Aurell; daughters, Janice Aurell, Elizabeth Foltz, Michelle Anderson and Amy Aurell; sisters, Barbara and Joanne; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
