Shelly C. Murrow

Haysville ~ Murrow, Shelly Christine, 51, passed away Friday, July 5th, 2024. She was born October 28th, 1972, adopted and raised by James and Deborah Brown in Derby, Kansas.

Shelly’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She was an excellent mother, Mimi and aunt. Her children were everything to her. She was a blessing to many other kids as well, during her time at El Paso Elementary, being a paraprofessional for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Murrow; grandparents, Harold and Bernice Peacock, Harold Brown, and Virgina Wilks.

Shelly is survived by her children, Zachary, Weston (Mariah), Baylee; step-children, Jacob (Courtney), Sylvia(Jared); her parents, James and Deborah Brown, Norleen Murrow; grandchildren, Lilly, Tobias, Ryker, Kaiden, Holden, Everett; dogs, Crash and Smokey; siblings, Bridget and Phil Haugen; in-laws Debra (John), Jerry Murrow, Rhonda Murrow; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation: Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 1335 N. Buckner St. Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at Mulvane Cemetery.
