Shayla Nichelle Rodriguez

Shayla Nichelle Rodriguez, age 18, passed away November 30, 2016. Shayla was an aspiring writer and loved to paint. She had a caring heart and a beautiful smile to match it. A 2016 Campus International Baccalaureate graduate starting to pursue her dreams at WSU. Visitation 1-5pm; Monday, at Smith Mortuary-Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway. Rosary 7pm Monday; Funeral Mass 10am Tuesday, December 6, both at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1912 West Grand Ave. Haysville 67060. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, David Long and Abby Rodriguez; great-grandfather, Leo Klotz. Shayla is survived by her parents, Rudy and Stacy Rodriguez; brothers, Erik (Leslie), Ariel (Matt), Xavier; sister, Alayna; grandparents, Debbie and Terry Kessler; grandmother, Mary Carnes; great-grandmother, Emma Jean Klotz. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is with the Via Christi Behavioral Health
