Scott Michael Petre

Scott Michael Petre, 58, passed away April 11, 2016, in Philadelphia, PA. He was born September 22, 1957, to Richard and Laura (Larsen) Petre in Columbus, OH. Scott led an accomplished career that spanned thirty plus years in the Cable/MSO industry. Scott received many awards and had great success due to his visionary and innovative abilities. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed helping people. Scott was a loving and supportive son, husband, father and grandfather, and was loved by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother. Scott is survived by his wife, Linda Petre; children, Eric (Mandy) Petre and Michelle (Chandra) Angbo; father, Richard Petre of Derby, KS; grandchildren, Ada, Ian, Corbin, and Leo; and siblings, Lynn (Bobby) Swift of Lynchburg, VA, Connie Petre of Billings, MT, and Todd Petre. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
