Scott L. Carmichael

Belle Plaine - Carmichael, Scott, L., son of Sandy and the late Tom Carmichael, passed away November 3, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Scott was 46 years of age and had been ill for many years. His mother and a large loving family survive him. He was a long time resident of Belle Plaine, and enjoyed his work as an EMT for 21 ½ years, as well as volunteering as a fire fighter and policeman. Scott loved working in security at Newman University in Wichita. Scott was a fan of WWE, skiing, playing pool, video games, comic books, and working with his various pets. He dearly loved his family and friends. He collected classic cars (2 of them) and many different types of guns. His large collection of Matchbox and Hot Wheels filled two cases. He had a unique and endearing sense of humor, and was loved by many people. Viewing: 2-8pm Thursday, Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home with family present from 6-8pm. Service: 2pm Friday, November 8, 2013, First Baptist Church, 612 N. Linden, Belle Plaine. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
