Scott Buswell

Scott Douglas Buswell (Scottie), died unexpectedly at his residence on January 6th, 2023. His family is deeply saddened and shocked by his passing. He was 42 years old.

Scott was born in 1980 in Wichita, Kansas to the parents of James D. Buswell (1949-1992) and Mary A. Buswell (b.1953). He graduated with the 1999 class from Campus High School in Haysville, Kansas. Scott is survived by his cherished daughter Josie M. Buswell, and his two beloved step children, Zoey Christy & Connar Christy. His memory will be forever cherished and remembered by his surviving mother, as well as older siblings and their families, Michael L. Buswell and Shelley J. Harvey (Jeremy). His memory also lives on in his niece and nephews; Indiera and Oliver (Shelley & Jeremy) and William (Michael), and his ex-wife Crystal J. Rich (Buswell).

Scott had a passion for motorized vehicles, particularly those for off-roading. He had a love of the outdoors, and enjoyed camping, float-trips, and going dune buggying with his buddies. He was a man of high-integrity and was known to be a loyal, big-hearted, and intelligent friend.

A public memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday January 12, 2023 at Smith Mortuary, Haysville.
