Sara Jo Schiffelbein

Schiffelbein, Sara Jo, 63, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was born October 16, 1952 to George and Alma (Ghramm) Hill in Fredonia, KS. Sara worked as an RN in Surgery Recovery and for the American Red Cross. She was an active leader in Boy Scouts of America. Sara was very family oriented and a great caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Larry Hill and Susan Gay Carnes. Sara is survived by her husband, Gary Schiffelbein; son, Bryan (Nicole) Schiffelbein; grandchildren, Addyson and Rylie Jo Schiffelbein; sister, Linda Odle; sister-in-law, Loretta (Walter) Siemers; 4 nieces; and 4 nephews.

Visitation: Monday, from 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Rosary: 9:30 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark Rd., Derby, KS 67037, immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys Scouts of America, Quivira Council, 3247 N. Oliver Ave., Wichita, KS 67220 or the American Red Cross, 1900 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67214.
