Sandra Jo Smith

Mulvane, KS – Sandra “Sandy” Jo Smith died May 25th, 2022, in her home surrounded by family. Sandra was born January 27th, 1939, in Anthony, KS. She married the love of her life on September 1, 1957, in Anthony, KS.

Sandra completed Dodge City Community College Nursing program and began to work with the elderly. Sandra was a natural caregiver and enjoyed enriching others’ lives. She loved being with her family cooking, playing cards, and telling stories of past times.

Survivors include: Son: Daniel Smith, Mulvane, KS; Daughter: Karen Silvey, Everett, WA; Brothers: John Walker (Rosie), Anthony, KS, Gerald Walker (Sue), Rio Vista, CA; Granddaughters: Emily Tyndall and family, OK, Kristan Wallen and family, OK, Andrea Sickmann (Trevor); and Tabitha Sanders (Ron), Great Bend, KS; Great Grandson: Daniel Todd Sickmann Udall, KS; and much loved family friend Marcie Perkins (Kenny), Mulvane, KS, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband Daniel Smith, parents Joe and Mabel Walker, sisters Betty, Sue, and Ann.

There will be no visitation per family request. Services will be held at Smith Family Mortuary, Mulvane, KS on May 31st at 1pm, graveside will follow at Belle Plain Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Interim HealthCare or Villa Maria.
