Life Sketch

Sandra "Sandy" Deann Corbett was born February 20, 1962 to Walter and June Helstrom Inkelaar. She was the third of six children and sister to Mike, Steve, Sheryl, Mark and Penny. Sandy was raised in Peck, KS and went to school in Mulvane. Sandy moved with her family to Douglass, KS prior to her senior year at Mulvane High School where she graduated from in 1980. When Sandy was 23 years old, she met the love of her life, Douglas Corbett. Sandy and Doug were married by law February 14th, 1987, and then married at the Maize First Congregational Church on June 13th, 1987. Doug and Sandy were then sealed to their family for time and all eternity on December 17th, 1994 in the Dallas, Texas Temple. Sandy and Doug were blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters, Casey, Lexi, Halie, and Cody. Sandy devoted her life to loving her children and teaching them the values of life. Sandy worked for her Uncle Tom Inkelaar at TMC's her senior year and stayed for ten years. In 1989, she started working at Boeing, which later became Spirit Aerosystems. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Walter and June, her sister Sheryl, and her daughter Halie. Many of earth's greatest and noblest souls live their lives without glamour and social prestige, and without newspaper and television headlines. Yet, their individual histories are examples of life lived with honor and filled with meaning and purpose. Sandy's lasting legacy is her family.
